Clean Room PC

As part of an upgrade to their manufacturing plant in Gloucester, Amersham Health (now GE Healthcare) commissioned Camdata to design and build a batch of ten rugged stainless steel PCs to a very strict standard, to be used in a pharmaceutical clean room environment.  The particular requirements were both NFI (Near Field Imaging) touch and keyboard inputs, low power fanless design, ledge-less 316 grade stainless steel design, connection to SAP.  Field acceptance was performed both on our site in Cambridgeshire and the customer’s in Amersham.  Camdata has been designing and manufacturing stainless steel computers for pharmaceutical plants, food factories and abattoirs since 1987.
